Plan and execution
Keep the group moving along open ground and focus fire on cavalry trying to reach your economy or siege. Use short attacks followed by retreats to preserve the range advantage, and let a cheaper frontline occupy enemy archers before the Mamelukes commit.
Risks and adaptation
Foot archers and ranged infantry can overwhelm the expensive group, while Teutonic Knights are a poor target. Avoid fighting under fortified fire, and do not spend the gold reserve on Mamelukes if the opponent is not offering worthwhile cavalry targets.
