Overview

Missionary: Missionaries provide healing and conversion with more mobility and armor than ordinary Monks, making them useful alongside a moving cavalry force. Their support can extend a fight by restoring damaged units between clashes.

Plan and execution

Keep a small group behind Knights or other cavalry. Heal the frontline during pauses, and use conversions against isolated high-value units when a safe approach appears. Move with the cavalry so the support does not fall behind or become trapped.

Risks and adaptation

The shorter reach and vulnerability to cavalry make a Missionary risky when left alone. Do not send it into the frontline to convert a defended target, and keep it away from fast units that can catch it.
