Overview

Early raids work best against isolated or weakened Villagers and exposed resources, where a small force can disrupt gathering and withdraw safely.

Plan and execution

Scout for forward gold, distant Lumber Camps, and workers separated from the main base. Choose one accessible target, focus vulnerable units, and retreat when defenders arrive; preserve the raiders for another route. Continue your own Villager production so the attack does not create an economic deficit.

Risks and adaptation

Chasing workers under a Town Center or into a prepared army can lose the raiding force. If the opponent closes the route, switch targets or use the time to scout rather than forcing damage.
