Savar heavy-cavalry timing

Savar: Savars are a powerful heavy-cavalry line that can break an unprepared army or base when assembled in numbers. Their food and gold cost still makes each charge important, even if the line is available.

Overview

Savar: Savars are a powerful heavy-cavalry line that can break an unprepared army or base when assembled in numbers. Their food and gold cost still makes each charge important, even if the line is available.

Plan and execution

Build the economy and upgrade timing around a group large enough to affect the fight. Use Savars to pressure a weak flank or protect siege, and pull back when the opponent’s anti-cavalry units gather. Keep a reserve for the engagement that decides the match.

Risks and adaptation

Halberdiers, Heavy Camel Riders, and Monks can punish a costly cavalry mass. Do not judge success by raw kills if the Savars are lost at an unsustainable rate.
