Overview

Shinkichon changes the value of the Korean siege line by strengthening Rocket Carts, making it a key decision when choosing between siege upgrades and heavier cart production. Compare the technology’s volley value with the extra durability and blast radius of the elite upgrade.

Plan and execution

When Rocket Carts are already part of the army, research Shinkichon before expanding that line if its damage increase will help break the current unit mass or defenses. Keep the carts behind a screen and use their volleys against clustered targets or structures while faster units spot and protect them. Add the Heavy Rocket Cart upgrade when the extra armor and area effect are more useful than another immediate damage improvement.

Risks and adaptation

The carts are still vulnerable if the screen collapses, and their slow movement makes repositioning costly. Do not research the upgrade when you do not plan to field Rocket Carts or when resources are needed to complete the army’s core counters.
