The Breath of the Dragon in the Definitive Edition shifts from a stealth opening to capturing Bombard Cannons and then defending Giurgiu against several active opponents. Take the fortified town efficiently, then turn its perimeter into a sustainable defense.
Plan and execution
Capture the three Bombard Cannons and use them to remove the Gate, Towers, and Castle that block the town. Once Giurgiu changes control, secure its exposed northern edge immediately while Villagers establish the economy and repair the starting Castle. Protect the vulnerable Villagers near the old Castle site from surviving Ottoman troops, then collect the western Relic to support the long game. Eliminate Rahova early if the route is open, and use the extra breathing room to build a compact force that can respond to the other active fronts.
Risks and adaptation
Taking the town does not remove all Ottoman troops, and five opponents can raid after the transfer. Do not spend the captured siege on optional structures before opening the route, and avoid leaving the northern outskirts or the two exposed Villagers undefended.
