Overview

The Conquest of Jiangdong begins with choices that shape the campaign’s free upgrades and hero roster. Select the starting army to match the preferred unit line, then rescue the captured Villagers before advancing.

Plan and execution

Choose ranged, cavalry, or infantry according to the upgrades you want automatically on later Age advances. Select Cheng Pu or Huang Gai for the campaign hero, then move toward the three White Tiger Yan camps southeast, south, and southwest of the start. Use the matching counter units to clear each garrison and free its Villagers. Once they join, establish production and prepare for the next faction rather than spending the full army in one camp.

Risks and adaptation

The army and hero decisions persist, so choose for the campaign rather than the opening skirmish alone. Camps contain mixed defenders; do not send the wrong unit line into a concentrated counter.
