Overview

The Elusive Snake is a multi-front defense where ally morale controls incoming units and tribute. At least one Mapuche ally must survive, so treat their settlements as part of your economy and military plan.

Plan and execution

Check the objective panel to track both allies’ morale and defend the one best positioned to survive. Protect the Mapuche Rearguard so its periodic Kona and Bolas Rider reinforcements continue, and keep the Mapuche Tribes’ settlements intact to preserve their resource tribute. Clear threats near their Villagers and production before launching a distant attack, then use the ally supplies to reinforce the main front.

Risks and adaptation

If both allies fall, the mission fails even if the player’s own base is secure. Avoid sending all troops on offense and respond quickly when morale begins to drop.
