Overview

The Scourge of God requires Attila to survive, Bleda to be removed, and two foreign powers to be defeated. How you handle Bleda changes the Hun army’s allegiance, while freeing the Scythian prince can create a useful ally.

Plan and execution

Choose a controlled way to eliminate Bleda and keep Attila near the loyal Tarkan group so the succession trigger does not leave him isolated. Free the Scythian prince from the Roman camp and deliver the required Horses if you want the Scythians to join you. Build a safe northern base if you need a retreat from the Hun camp, then choose two of the Scythians, Romans, and Persians as the targets and focus the army on them in sequence.

Risks and adaptation

Attila’s death ends the mission, so never use him to scout or tank a concentrated force. The Bleda choice can cause internal units to turn hostile, and taking on all three foreign opponents wastes time; decide which factions and alliance route best support the objective.
