Overview

The Successor has a dangerous night phase with no reinforcements until dawn. Use the starting army for limited, recoverable raids, and time village liberation for when you can protect the consequences.

Plan and execution

Scout nearby enemy weaknesses and strike exposed units or resources only when the force can withdraw safely. Avoid liberating local villages before dawn if their tribute would trigger a destructive response against them. If allies free villages first, treat the resulting attacks as a signal to defend the threatened settlements. Regroup at sunrise, then use the arriving reinforcements to clear enemy pressure and secure the villages in a planned sequence.

Risks and adaptation

A night raid that loses troops cannot be quickly replaced. Early liberation can turn a small reward into a village under attack, so do not trigger it until you can protect the community.
