Mode rules and player priorities

Players cannot attack one another and compete economically to reach the Imperial Age and complete a Wonder first. The first completed Wonder wins immediately, without a countdown. Before planning the opening, identify the mode’s special win condition, starting rules, and restrictions; these determine whether economic growth, map control, survival, or direct combat should take priority. The standard random-map plan may not fit a mode that changes starting units, technology, or the way victory is awarded.
