Effect & research conditions
Research takes 30 seconds at the Consulate. The higher block limit does not itself grant units, resources or population; the player still needs to select an eligible Consulate production option and pay its cost. Check the queue display after research to confirm which group choices use the new limit.
Research condition
Available to Japanese from the Commerce Age. Research it at Consulate.
When to research
Research before a planned large reinforcement queue when the army and economy can support blocks of up to ten. A larger block can simplify a planned production burst, but it is not useful while the Consulate is idle or population is full. If the player needs a smaller specialized response, use a production option whose composition fits the threat.
Queue size is not the same as army capacity
Bushido Principles changes the size of unit blocks that can be trained through the relevant Japanese system. It does not increase the population cap or reduce the resource cost of each soldier. A player can queue a larger group only if resources and population are available when units arrive. Plan the block around the army composition and avoid tying up the Consulate with a large order that cannot be completed or supported.
