Coca Cultivation

Coca Cultivation is an Industrial Age Inca Big Button technology researched at an Estate. It gives Estates a passive Coin trickle, allowing them to generate income without assigning Villagers to mine there. The total depends on how many Estates the Inca have built and the current Estate limit.

Effect & research conditions

The base research costs 500 Food, 500 Wood and 500 Coin and takes 10 seconds. Each Estate automatically gathers 0.8 Coin per second after research. The current Inca Estate build limit is 10, so the maximum from ten Estates is 8 Coin per second. The Old Ways Industrial Age Home City Card reduces the technology cost to 250 of each listed resource. Earlier versions used a 1.0 Coin-per-second rate and a higher Estate limit.

Research condition

Inca; Industrial Age; Estate; 10 seconds; 500 Food, 500 Wood and 500 Coin, reduced to 250 each with Old Ways; each Estate generates 0.8 Coin per second; current limit 10 Estates, for up to 8 Coin per second.

When to research

Research it when several Estates are already built or planned and the match is likely to last long enough for passive income to repay the large investment. The effect does not assign Villagers, so they can keep gathering elsewhere; however, a small number of Estates produces only a small trickle. Compare the option with immediate military production and confirm whether the Old Ways card changes its cost.

Passive income scales with Estate count

The technology adds 0.8 Coin per second to each Estate. With the current limit of ten, the full network produces up to 8 Coin per second. This is building income rather than a Villager gathering-rate bonus, and the total is lower when fewer Estates are present.

Current limit and historical values

Earlier versions listed a 1 Coin-per-second trickle and a higher Estate limit. Current Definitive Edition data uses 0.8 per Estate and a limit of ten, which caps the maximum at eight per second. Old Ways halves the listed resource cost, so check whether the card has been sent before planning the research.
