Marco Polo Sheep
Marco Polo Sheep is a huntable animal from The Asian Dynasties. Its carcass provides 400 Food and supports up to eight gatherers in the recorded data. Villagers kill the animal and gather from the remaining carcass; the sheep is not trained by the player and does not replenish after it is consumed. Whether a herd appears, and where it is placed, depends on the map layout.

Role, availability & values
Gather Food from the carcass with Settlers and protect them if the herd lies outside the Town Center’s safe area. Avoid moving more workers to the hunt than its gatherer capacity supports. Scout nearby hunts and berries while the sheep are being collected so that the economy can transition without leaving workers idle when the finite carcass runs out.
Training & availability
The Asian Dynasties; huntable wildlife; 400 Food per carcass; up to eight gatherers; map-dependent appearance.
Matchup & timing
Use Marco Polo Sheep as an early Food source when it is available and safe. Its 400 Food can support worker and unit production, but its depletion should be part of the opening plan. Relocate workers or prepare another Food source if the hunt is exposed or nearly exhausted.
Finite hunt, not a livestock production building
A Marco Polo Sheep carcass provides 400 Food and supports up to eight gatherers in the recorded profile. Villagers kill it and gather from the remaining carcass; it is not a unit that the player trains or an animal assigned to a Pen for ongoing livestock production. Once the Food is collected, the herd no longer supports that gathering line. Scout a second Food source while the sheep is being hunted so that workers have somewhere useful to move when it runs out.
Keep the gather group within reach of protection
The animal comes from The Asian Dynasties map pool, and whether it appears or where it begins depends on the map. If the herd lies away from the Town Center, the walk and gathering time expose Villagers to raids. The eight-gatherer limit is a useful guide for avoiding an oversized group on one carcass; extra workers can gather elsewhere instead of crowding the same resource. Use the sheep for early Food when its position is safe, and move the economy toward replacement Hunts or another source before depletion forces a long, unplanned trip.
