Penguin

Penguin is a cheat unit introduced in Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition – Knights of the Mediterranean. In eligible Skirmish or campaign games, the phrase “I don’t exist” summons it when cheats are allowed; the Scenario Editor can also place it. Its low hit points are paired with unusual resistance and strong attack bonuses against a narrow set of target classes, so its profile belongs to special content rather than a normal infantry roster.

Access & recorded profile

Penguin has 64 hit points, 40% hand resistance, 40% ranged resistance, speed 4.5 and line of sight 6. Its hand attack deals 16 damage every two seconds at range 1. It has an 8× multiplier against Buildings, 5× against Cavalry and 3.5× against Shock troops, and grants 45 Experience when defeated. The cheat code became available to all players with update 13.58326; before that, access was tied to Ageiversary challenges.

Target matchups

In a cheat-enabled match or custom scenario, its attack bonuses make target choice decisive: buildings and the listed cavalry and shock troop classes take far more damage than a generic target. Its 64 hit points and short line of sight still make it vulnerable to being caught before it reaches those targets. Keep it for the matchup or scripted event it is meant to demonstrate; do not plan ordinary infantry production around it.

Practical direction

If using Penguin as a scenario opponent, position its target within the short sight and attack reach or provide a route that lets it engage. If facing one, its bonuses make leaving a building or vulnerable cavalry in hand range costly, while its limited health means it should not be treated as a durable siege engine. Since its access depends on cheats or editor placement, these are encounter notes rather than normal multiplayer recruitment advice.

Its bonuses are specialized, not universal damage

The 16-damage hand attack is multiplied against Buildings, Cavalry and Shock troops by 8, 5 and 3.5 respectively. Those bonuses make the Penguin especially threatening when one of those target classes is exposed, but they do not describe a general attack bonus against every unit. Its 40% hand and ranged resistance improve its staying power, while 64 hit points remain a low absolute health pool.

Access changed after its original event availability

The unit is associated with Knights of the Mediterranean and can be summoned with “I don’t exist” in eligible modes when cheats are enabled. The code originally required completing Ageiversary challenges, then update 13.58326 made it available to all players. The change widened access to the cheat summon; it did not add Penguin to any standard production building or civilization roster.
