Town Ceremony

Town Ceremony is a card-gated Community Plaza option available to the Aztecs, Haudenosaunee and Lakota. It increases the hit points and attack of buildings, while Walls are excluded. Its benefit is defensive infrastructure and building durability rather than a direct increase to unit strength.

Effect & access

The Town Ceremony Home City Card is required before the Plaza option can be used. Once enabled, the ceremony improves buildings under its rules but does not strengthen Wall segments. The player must include the card in the deck and assign Plaza workers, so the effect has both a deck-building and in-match cost.

When to perform it

Choose it when valuable buildings must withstand pressure or when a forward settlement depends on structures remaining active. It is most useful when the opponent is likely to attack those buildings; it does not solve a weak field army or protect workers beyond the structures. Scout the likely siege route and reinforce the area.

Use Plaza workers for structural defense

Town Ceremony is enabled by its Home City Card and is available to the Aztecs, Haudenosaunee, and Lakota. The Community Plaza option increases building hit points and attack, excluding Walls. It requires both the card slot and Plaza workforce, so compare the defensive gain with other ceremony effects and the labor assigned. Choose it when valuable buildings are likely to be attacked; it does not strengthen the field army or protect workers away from structures.
