Overview

A narrow mountain crossing can become the decisive route between bases.

Terrain and layout

An impassable mountain range divides the map into two halves, usually leaving one main crossing and sometimes smaller additional gaps. The pass grows wider on larger team-map sizes.

Resources and control

Resources are broadly divided between the two sides, and the map has plentiful wood and more large Gold deposits than a typical land map. Sacred Sites and Relics are also split by the range.

Player considerations

A narrow pass supports early walls and a protected economy, but it can also concentrate the entire fight. Scout for secondary gaps and account for exposed resources that may spawn within the pass on larger maps.
