Overview

Control of the map’s lakes can provide an economic advantage.

Terrain and layout

A small lake spawns for each player on an otherwise open land map. In team games, lakes are arranged between players; their exact positions vary.

Resources and control

Each lake contains Shore Fish and Deep Water Fish, making water control a meaningful food source. Sacred Sites, Trade Posts, and Relics are distributed across the mainland and lake approaches.

Player considerations

Contest the lakes with Docks and Fishing Ships, but keep land defenses ready because opponents can still approach over open ground. Fish can be depleted or absent in some individual lake spawns, so scout first.
