Standard vs Deluxe

CONTROL Resonant launched September 24, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (Steam and Epic Games Store) and Mac. Two digital editions were sold:

  • Standard Edition — the base game, playable from launch day.
  • Deluxe Edition — the base game plus 48-hour early access, playable from September 22, 2026.

The Deluxe Edition was the only way to play before launch day; there was no other early-access path.

Pre-order bonuses

Pre-ordering either edition unlocked bonuses — see the pre-order bonus guide for the full list. Newsletter subscribers also received two exclusive apparel items at launch, the Communications Department Headset and the Optical Filtering Goggles.

Physical edition

A physical Steelbook edition was available for collectors — details in the Steelbook guide.

Which platform?

The game is a current-generation title: PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on console, plus PC and Mac. Platform-specific notes:

  • PS5 — Performance Mode details and DualSense features.
  • Xbox — Smart Delivery and Play Anywhere support.
  • PC — system requirements (Windows 10/11 64-bit, 16 GB RAM, 120 GB SSD) and settings.
  • Game Pass — subscription availability.

All editions share the same game content and the same trophy list — the only gameplay-relevant difference is when you could start playing.
