Faction identity

SEAL Team 6 is a Counter-Terrorist faction themed around a U.S. Navy special-operations unit. Its CS2 agent items pair tactical models with short character profiles that range from the generic soldier to named operators and commanders. The group’s styling presents a coordinated force, while the roster’s different uniforms, equipment and personalities distinguish one selectable model from another.

The faction is part of CS2’s agent system, not a map-specific team selection. An equipped agent supplies a character appearance for the Counter-Terrorist side across supported matches. Choosing SEAL Team 6 does not create a separate mission, change a map’s faction assignment or replace the normal CT objectives.

Roster and quality

The seven CS2 agents are SEAL Team 6 Soldier (Distinguished); Buckshot and “Blueberries” Buckshot (Exceptional); Lieutenant Rex Krikey (Superior); and Lt. Commander Ricksaw, Cmdr. Davida “Goggles” Fernandez and Cmdr. Frank “Wet Sox” Baroud (Master). These names and grades describe inventory items. Quality does not make an agent more durable, more accurate or more effective in combat.

SEAL Team 6 Soldier is the broad unit archetype: combat-ready, eager to win and confident in completing the job. This general operator presentation gives the named specialists a straightforward reference point in the roster. Soldier’s profile is not a different character class and does not provide an extra weapon or equipment slot.

Buckshot is known as the team’s “Weapons Sommelier.” The profile jokes that he has field-tested and reviewed nearly every military firearm in unusual detail, especially lesser-known weapons. “Blueberries” Buckshot is a separate Exceptional agent item portraying the same weapons enthusiast in the classic blue uniform. Their shared personality connects the two models, but neither has a special weapon proficiency or changes gun statistics.

Command and combat-diver profiles

Lt. Commander Ricksaw is a senior SEAL whose relaxed, comic attitude helps keep the team calm during dangerous operations. His profile describes extensive special-operations leadership and a tendency to encourage the team to make the most of a short life, even while carrying out a mission. The humor separates his character voice from the more earnest Soldier and weapons-focused Buckshot.

Cmdr. Davida “Goggles” Fernandez is an accomplished combat diver and marksman. Her profile describes a strong mammalian dive reflex and the ability to operate in darkness, ice and deep-sea defenses. Her nickname comes from a bullet striking her left eye, which she avoided because “Wet Sox” reminded her to wear her full kit. The story credits her with one of two Navy Cross awards for classified underwater operations. These are biography details, not underwater movement mechanics in CS2.

Cmdr. Frank “Wet Sox” Baroud is also an elite combat diver. His profile presents him as a third-generation SEAL and describes a long family connection to the service. He is the teammate who reminds Fernandez to take her equipment, linking their stories while establishing his own dependable, experienced character. The two diver profiles explain their specialist identities but provide no special access to water or resistance to damage.

Lieutenant Rex Krikey

Lieutenant Rex Krikey is associated with jungle and wetland operations. His profile describes expertise in handling reptiles, large and small, and presents him as a natural choice for difficult field environments. His Superior item quality classifies the agent; it does not identify a stronger combat class. Krikey still uses the same CS2 movement, weapons and Counter-Terrorist objectives as the other SEAL Team 6 agents.

CS2 team role and objectives

Every SEAL Team 6 agent plays on the Counter-Terrorist side and follows the same CS2 team rules. In Bomb Defusal, CTs defend the bomb sites, stop a successful plant or defuse the planted bomb; in Hostage Rescue, they pursue hostage extraction. The active mode determines the exact win conditions, while this faction provides the player’s chosen model and character presentation.

The fictional specialties in these descriptions should not be treated as match abilities. Buckshot’s firearms knowledge does not improve a weapon, Fernandez and Baroud do not gain diving bonuses, and Krikey does not receive a terrain or wildlife advantage. Team coordination comes from the ordinary CS2 rules, weapons and equipment selected for the round. See Agents and Agent Models for the wider customization system.

Version and historical scope

The SEAL Team 6 faction appears across Counter-Strike editions, and its older appearances include model assignments, maps and historical descriptions that do not define the current CS2 agent system. This article focuses on its CS2 roster and the profiles relevant to the seven agent items. Earlier model behavior and map-specific assignments belong to those versions.

The CS2 faction page also notes a hostage voice-line inconsistency: on hostage maps, some agents reusing SEAL Team 6 voice lines may play Cmdr. Frank “Wet Sox” Baroud’s hostage-rescue lines because the faction lacks its own corresponding quotes. This is an audio presentation quirk, not a special interaction or objective rule. Agent acquisition dates and retired operation shop details are kept separate from current gameplay and are not presented as current rewards.
