Faction identity
SWAT stands for Special Weapons And Tactics and names a Counter-Terrorist faction in the CS2 agent catalogue. The faction’s character set includes tactical officers and visibly specialized protective suits. Their backgrounds describe emergency response and police tactical work, but those profiles are character flavor rather than a menu of selectable gameplay classes.
Every SWAT agent plays on the Counter-Terrorist side and uses the same movement, health, armor, weapon and objective rules as other CT models. A chemical-response suit does not reduce grenade damage, an EOD specialist does not defuse faster, and a paramedic does not heal a teammate. Agent selection changes the character model and presentation only.
Hazard-response agents
Bio-Haz Specialist is trained for severe biological-hazard scenarios, including a biological attack against civilians. The protective suit identifies the agent’s response specialty within the SWAT roster. The profile’s motto, “Tacita Sed Mortiferum,” accompanies a character built around entering a dangerous environment rather than withdrawing from it.
Chem-Haz Specialist covers the chemical-response side of the lineup. The profile emphasizes surviving and working in a toxic environment for extended operations. The two suits therefore represent different fictional hazards: biological response for Bio-Haz Specialist and chemical environments for Chem-Haz Specialist. Both remain ordinary Counter-Terrorist agent models in a CS2 round.
Officers and field specialists
Sergeant Bombson is Tyler Bobson, SWAT’s explosive-ordnance-disposal specialist. His profile describes him as an efficient bomb-disposal officer with an unusually good ability to locate concealed improvised explosive devices. A hearing joke rounds out the character, but Bombson has no special device detection in CS2 and does not alter how the C4 objective works.
John “Van Healen” Kask is described as one of SWAT’s strongest tactical-defense units and an on-site military paramedic. He also plays guitar, sometimes during an operation, and jokes that the music gets teammates’ blood pumping while he keeps an AED ready for emergencies. The combination of medical support and musician personality makes him distinct from Bombson’s technical EOD role; it does not add a healing or revive mechanic.
Lieutenant “Tree Hugger” Farlow enjoys operations that involve sunscreen, mosquito repellent and M4A4 rifles. The outdoors theme explains the nickname and gives this Exceptional agent a lighter character voice. The profile’s weapon mention does not equip the agent with an M4A4 or change which rifles the player may purchase.
Farlow and commander profiles
1st Lieutenant Farlow is a separate Superior agent item from Lieutenant “Tree Hugger” Farlow. The profile describes a smart, relentlessly polite and cheerful officer who quickly advanced through the ranks. It emphasizes her tactical ability in hostage and barricade situations, giving this character a leadership-and-planning focus distinct from the outdoors humor of Tree Hugger.
Cmdr. Mae “Dead Cold” Jamison is the roster’s Master agent. Her profile presents a highly experienced commander who is skeptical and wry in the middle of dangerous situations. She may appear nonchalant, but the description stresses that she notices threats and uses dry humor to keep pressure from overwhelming the team. The item’s Master quality is an inventory tier and does not give Jamison a command bonus.
Quality and CS2 team role
The roster’s quality distribution is two Distinguished agents, three Exceptional agents, one Superior agent and one Master agent. These labels classify the cosmetic items. They do not rank combat effectiveness, and choosing a higher-quality agent cannot change damage, accuracy, movement or utility capacity.
SWAT agents use the standard Counter-Terrorist objectives. In Bomb Defusal, the side protects the bomb sites, stops the plant or defuses the C4. In Hostage Rescue, it follows the mode’s extraction and elimination conditions. The map and selected mode determine the task; the SWAT faction supplies its visual identity. See Agents and Agent Models for the shared CS2 customization system.
