Setting and visible landmarks
Agency places its conflict in a commercial penthouse above an urban skyline. Signs inside identify the business as Underhill & Murphy Advertising Agency. The height and glass-fronted corporate setting frame the map as an upscale office environment rather than an outdoor bombsite or street-level rescue.
The Counter-Strike 2 version’s distant skyline includes the Golden Gate Bridge, suggesting a San Francisco setting. An out-of-bounds building visible across from the bridge bears the name “Noclip Club.” These are environmental landmarks used to establish the view beyond the playable area; they are not objectives or accessible combat locations.
Hostage Rescue objective
Agency uses the Hostage Rescue scenario. Counter-Terrorists must locate a hostage, interact to take the hostage along and escort them to a rescue zone. Terrorists try to prevent that extraction until time expires. CS2 also allows either side to win by eliminating the opposing team, subject to the mode’s round state. Once a rescue is underway, the CT team’s challenge shifts from reaching the hostage to protecting the carrier and route.
This distinguishes Agency from Bomb Defusal maps, where the C4 plant and defuse determine the central objective. The hostage interaction, cash rewards and alternate elimination wins come from the shared Hostage Rescue rules rather than from a unique Agency-only system. The source stub does not provide a room-by-room callout or route guide, so this article focuses on the documented setting and scenario.
CS2 availability and update context
Agency returned to CS2 with a major overhaul on May 7, 2025. The map was removed from selection on January 21, 2026. These dates describe its documented CS2 availability interval; they do not imply that the map remains selectable in current matchmaking. See Map Rotations for dated pool context and Community Maps for other community-created CS2 entries.
The Wiki also records a temporary CS2 sound issue associated with later rounds and interaction near the central glass bridge; that bug was fixed in September 2025. This is a resolved version note rather than a current map mechanic. Agency’s CS2 record should therefore be read as a historical map entry with its setting, Hostage Rescue role and dated updates kept distinct.
