The Winter Staff is a Mage artifact in Minecraft Dungeons II that blasts a soul-powered blizzard at your enemies, creating a cozy winter wonderland — for you, not for them. It doubles as a build engine: it reduces artifact cooldowns by 20% and makes your frost attacks deal 15% more damage.

Effect and cost

The staff has a 5-second cooldown and no listed soul cost on the launch data. The blizzard is the direct damage, but the passive-style bonuses are the real prize: 20% shorter artifact cooldowns means your whole rotation comes back faster, and the 15% frost damage boost stacks with every other frost tool you run.

When to use it

The Winter Staff is the centerpiece of frost builds. Run it with the Blizzard Bangle for frost-infused melee, the Freezing Quiver for chilled arrows, or the Frost Crescent enchantment — the 15% boost lifts all of them. Cooldown-hungry builds also love the 20% reduction on its own: pair it with the Totem of Casting for dramatically faster artifact cycling.

How to get it
