Overview

Scenario details

Follow Muisca leaders through a contest for power amid the arrival of Spanish forces. Mission order and scenario notes: 1. Slash and Burn — Pacanchique is sent to stop Nemequene’s advancing army, then must strike at its political leader rather than conquer the entire rival force. The choice of tribal allies carries into later battles, while the mining camps and siege commander offer ways to blunt the enemy’s pressure 2. Zipa and Zaque — Pacanchique contests a network of neutral Muisca states against the rival ruler not chosen in the previous mission. Each state adds territory and resources, but the struggle can reverse quickly; securing Iraca’s Temple of the Sun can tip the balance 3. Borderlands — Pacanchique’s allegiance determines the mission’s goal in the western borderlands. On Quemuenchatocha’s side, gather the Panche tribes’ Treasure Carts and Relics while protecting them from Nemequene; on Nemequene’s side, eliminate the rival ruler and bring the tribes under control 4. Son of the Sun — Pacanchique must seize the central Temple of the Sun, then use the transferred army and base of the ruler he chose to support in the earlier missions. The rival attacks to reclaim the temple, and the Spanish expedition can turn the fight into a second front depending on the alliance 5. The Golden King — Pacanchique leads an uprising to take the Golden Palace as two rival European expeditions advance from different directions. Once the palace is secured, use the Muisca ambush network to protect it until the countdown ends—or defeat both invading armies at their bases Use the named objectives, starting setup, and mission order in this entry to distinguish it from the standard skirmish rules.
