Dracula returns to Wallachia with a small force and must win over three local rulers before confronting Vladislav II. Complete each voivod’s military task, gather the allied forces for the decisive battle, then evacuate the four leaders to Moldavia.

Player approach

The Dragon Spreads His Wings in the Definitive Edition asks Dracula to win the support of three voivods while Danesti patrols threaten the roads. Save the middle voivod’s harder task for last and use the eastern Castle to heal.

Step-by-step plan

Move Dracula and the Hand Cannoneers together, using the hero’s regeneration to bait pursuing enemies into the gunpowder line. Keep Hussars away from the enemy Pikemen and retreat wounded units to the eastern voivod’s Castle. Complete the eastern and remaining easier voivod tasks first, then approach Mircea in the center after the army has gathered enough strength for his more difficult objective.

Risks and adjustments

Without a Monk on higher difficulties, healing depends on safe Castle access. Do not let Pikemen surround Dracula or commit the Hussars before the ranged units can support them; the wrong voivod order can drain the force before the hardest task.
