CAMPAIGN · THE AGE OF KINGS
The Siege of Paris
A constrained siege-and-escape mission. Preserve the starting siege engines, rescue enough civilians, and withdraw instead of trying to conquer the whole city.

Overview
A constrained siege-and-escape mission. Preserve the starting siege engines, rescue enough civilians, and withdraw instead of trying to conquer the whole city.
Player approach
The Siege of Paris gives Joan a powerful but finite force against technologically advanced British and Burgundian defenders. The mission begins with the refugees inside the city as the first objective, so preserving the army matters more than trading units for ground.
Step-by-step plan
Use the starting archers and infantry to secure a protected approach for the heavy cavalry and siege weapons. Keep heroes with the main force and clear enemy groups in stages rather than entering several defended streets at once. Claim the refugees near the city flag, then use the expanded force to continue through Paris with siege protected by infantry and cavalry screening likely counterattacks.
Risks and adjustments
There is no normal base or unit production to replace losses. Avoid exposing siege weapons to concentrated fire, keep ranged units out of melee, and withdraw wounded groups before a small skirmish becomes an expensive exchange.
