CAMPAIGN · THE THREE KINGDOMS

Overview
Cao Cao serves as a cavalry commander during the Yellow Turban uprising. Strike rebel positions with the forces and reinforcements available, reclaim nearby villages for supplies, and push through to Zhang Jue’s stronghold.
Player approach
The Yellow Turban Rebellion rewards early village captures that provide resources and production. Cutting Zhang Jue’s southeast trade route weakens his raids while you build toward the main assault.
Step-by-step plan
Capture the village just south of the starting camp and use Cao Cao’s ability to clear the garrison quickly. Continue east to secure additional settlements and block the trade route. Use the captured production buildings and one-time resource gains to reinforce the army, while coordinating with Dong Zhuo’s progress on the southern village. If the force becomes depleted, regroup near Huangfu Song’s position to receive the available reinforcements.
Risks and adjustments
The scenario’s Legendary difficulty makes a delayed village push costly. Do not ignore the southeast route, and avoid leaving captured settlements undefended while the main army moves toward Zhang Jue.
