Overview

Barbarossa’s March gives you a large fixed army but no Villagers, so the irreplaceable Trebuchets, Siege Onagers, and Monks determine whether the force can reach the Hospitaller camp. Use the southern route and heal between fights.

Plan and execution

Keep the main force compact and screen the Trebuchets and Monks behind Teutonic Knights and Crossbowmen. Take the southern route to the river, using Paladins or Monks to remove the Saracen Galleon; if it is converted, preserve it as an asset. After the river ambush, let the frontline absorb Mamelukes while ranged units focus them down. Use Monks to heal after each isolated encounter and save siege for fortified objectives along the route.

Risks and adaptation

There is no worker economy to repair or replace siege. A converted Galleon may be lost if treated as disposable, and losing the Monks removes the only practical way to recover between fights; protect both throughout the march.
