Borderlands alliance-opening plan
Borderlands rewards early map control and selective diplomacy. Settling for one or two useful Panche allies can secure vulnerable flanks while freeing resources for the main objective.

Overview
Borderlands rewards early map control and selective diplomacy. Settling for one or two useful Panche allies can secure vulnerable flanks while freeing resources for the main objective.
Plan and execution
Expand before the rival armies box in the starting base, but do not scatter Villagers across every neutral site. Reveal alliance side objectives before committing to them, then support the chosen Panche group long enough for its settlement to survive. Calandaima and Tocaima can anchor broad approaches, while Guacana may be the quicker pact when its position is reachable. Use allied territory to shorten safe routes and pressure nearby enemies, then concentrate your own army on the next objective.
Risks and adaptation
A nominal ally that is left under attack may collapse and cost the time spent supporting it. Check which side objectives are available from the actual starting position, keep builders and reinforcements protected, and avoid trying to win every faction over before securing a durable base.
