Overview

Camel Rider: Camel Riders are built to challenge cavalry and can pursue mounted units more easily than a slow Spearman line. They are useful as a mobile screen for siege, ranged troops, or exposed Villagers.

Plan and execution

Keep Camels near the route where enemy cavalry can enter and move as a group to intercept rather than chasing single units far from support. Use their mobility to turn a defensive screen into pressure against a retreating cavalry force.

Risks and adaptation

Spearmen and ranged fire can punish the approach, while non-cavalry armies reduce the Camel Rider’s value. Do not commit the whole army to Camels when the opponent has shifted compositions.
