Plan and execution
Scout the basin edges before sending workers inward. Control an approach with mobile units and vision, establish mining only behind a protected screen, and use nearby hills or defensive positions to keep routes open. Contest the center in stages instead of moving the whole economy at once.
Risks and adaptation
The basin can funnel forces into predictable approaches, making unsupported miners easy to raid. Maintain a safer fallback deposit and watch both entrances before committing siege or a large Villager group.
