Plan and execution
Research the technology when Battle Elephants are a central part of the army and can remain in combat long enough to recover health over time. Keep the elephants screened from their strongest counters, retreat damaged units behind the line when possible, and rotate replacements forward rather than expecting a single elephant to heal fully between battles. Pair the force with ranged support that handles threats the elephants cannot reach efficiently.
Risks and adaptation
High hit points mean complete healing takes a long time, so the regeneration will not undo a bad engagement immediately. The technology does not repair the elephant line’s missing upgrades or poor matchups by itself; compare its cost with more units, counters, or protection.
