Protecting gold and stone miners
Gold and stone workers often sit beyond the safest part of the base. Protecting access is usually better than reacting after a raid begins.

Overview
Gold and stone workers often sit beyond the safest part of the base. Protecting access is usually better than reacting after a raid begins.
Plan and execution
Place vision on approach routes, keep a mobile response nearby, and use small walls or defensive buildings to cover the most exposed side. Spread workers across deposits when practical and prepare an alternate mining site.
Risks and adaptation
Concentrated workers and a distant camp are easy targets. Do not leave the main army too far away to respond; relocate workers when the position can no longer be held.
Decision example
Gold and stone camps are often farther from the Town Center and easy to isolate. Scout the routes to each deposit, use a small wall or defensive building where it protects actual workers, and keep a mobile unit close enough to respond. If a raid makes one mine unsafe, move workers to another known site rather than leaving them idle under attack. When a Castle plan depends on stone, losing the miners can be as damaging as losing the planned army.
