GUIDE · BATTLE STRATEGY
Rebuilding after a failed push
A failed push need not end a match: protect survivors, restore production, and choose a new objective before a counterattack.

Overview
A failed push need not end a match: protect survivors, restore production, and choose a new objective before a counterattack.
Plan and execution
Retreat, inspect production, queue answers, restore missing resources, and scout before attacking again.
Risks and adaptation
Repeating the same attack may lose the remaining army. Change route, timing, composition, or objective based on what the defense revealed. Replace the unit that the opponent’s counter threatens before rebuilding the old composition. Use survivors to screen production, restore housing, and secure a short route for the next attack.
Decision example
Count surviving army, production buildings, and safe resources before launching another wave. Replace housing and a core unit queue, then prepare a counter to the defense that stopped the first push: cavalry against exposed siege, infantry support against Pikemen, or siege against fixed walls. Use small units to scout the enemy's counterattack while the economy recovers. Do not send replacements down the original path automatically; a different route or defensive pause may protect the next investment.
