Team Moats entrance-and-expansion plan

Team Moats gives each Town Center a circular deep-water moat with one narrow land entrance. The moat delays land attacks but has no fish, so it does not provide a self-contained economy.

Overview

Team Moats gives each Town Center a circular deep-water moat with one narrow land entrance. The moat delays land attacks but has no fish, so it does not provide a self-contained economy.

Plan and execution

Use the entrance to create a compact defensive position with a Gate and ranged support, then keep scouting beyond it for the first safe expansion. Coordinate with teammates on which outside route to secure, and contest the space where enemy bases can bypass the moat.

Risks and adaptation

Staying inside the moat too long leaves limited room to grow. Do not expect fishing income from the inner water or assume the narrow entrance protects the outer resource camps.
