Overview

The Cleansing of the Loire rewards a quick crossing and decisive capture of Fastolf’s town before its garrison can turn the settlement into a prolonged fight. Secure the foothold, then build an economy for the wider objective.

Plan and execution

Move the starting army toward the flag and use the transports to cross the first river with the full force. Pick up the nearby Sheep, pass the next shallows, and approach the eastern town from outside its Town Center range. Use Crossbowmen to remove Villagers while the rest of the army stays back from defensive fire; when resistance has thinned, focus the Town Center so the faction resigns. Establish Houses and resource gathering immediately, research the early economic improvement, then use nearby resources to prepare production and the next offensive.

Risks and adaptation

Do not charge the army under Town Center fire while Villagers remain to add arrows. Keep the transport and the army together until everyone reaches the far bank, and scout the next river approaches before sending workers out to build.
