Overview

The Emperor Sleeping is an escort mission where the Trade Cart must reach Jerusalem while the Dome of the Rock remains intact. Clear threats in an order that prevents villagers from fleeing into the final southern city.

Plan and execution

Collect the nearby Relic with the starting Monks, then attack the eastern Saracen town before breaching the central walls so its Villagers cannot escape to the southern settlement. Use converted Persian Trebuchets and War Elephants to strengthen the army against siege and frontline pressure. Break through Saladin’s camp, remove the towers that threaten the Trade Cart’s path, and escort it toward the Dome with mobile units clearing the route ahead.

Risks and adaptation

The Dome and the Trade Cart are both failure-critical targets, so neither should approach the front line before the path is secure. The second Relic lies deep in hostile territory; collect it only when the army can protect the detour, and avoid drawing the southern defenders before the eastern town is handled.
