Overview

The Maid Falls can be made easier before its main phase begins by reducing Choisy’s Castle first. After control changes, block river crossings, use ships to punish landings, and collect Relics from the newly accessible routes.

Plan and execution

Before the scenario starts, lower Choisy’s Castle to about the intended threshold, then lure its guards away from the Castle and take control. Wall shallow crossings and build Galleons or Cannon Galleons to attack units attempting to cross. Approach Soissons to gain its alliance, clear the units between Choisy and the eastern Relic, and recover the central Relic once its Monastery is safe to reach.

Risks and adaptation

Do not damage the Castle so far that the pre-trigger plan becomes unreliable. Protect the walls from land siege and keep a mobile force ready for crossings the fleet cannot cover.
