Overview

The Night Falls in the Definitive Edition requires clearing the Ottoman camp’s Towers to claim it, then defeating Sabac before expanding through Wallachia. Spend the starting resources before the next trigger removes them.

Plan and execution

Use Skirmishers and Pikemen to answer the Ottoman mix of Janissaries, Heavy Cavalry Archers, and Camels while the army focuses on the camp Towers. Once the Towers fall and control transfers, turn the camp into a staging point. Before defeating Sabac, queue units and needed upgrades because the scenario removes the starting resource reserve at that transition. Claim Wallachia afterward, build up immediately, and use the craftsman’s Bombard Cannon offer when the tribute and timing are worthwhile.

Risks and adaptation

Do not rush the Sabac objective before converting resources into a force; the starting stockpile disappears. The player must defeat Sabac in the Definitive Edition even though older versions allow that objective to be optional.
