The Warrior Who Fed the Wolves attrition plan
The Warrior Who Fed the Wolves is a fixed-force journey through Constantinople, where losing units cannot be replaced through a normal economy. Draw small groups away from larger defenses and use the city’s reinforcements and healing points to recover.

Overview
The Warrior Who Fed the Wolves is a fixed-force journey through Constantinople, where losing units cannot be replaced through a normal economy. Draw small groups away from larger defenses and use the city’s reinforcements and healing points to recover.
Plan and execution
Advance slowly through the streets and pull one guard group at a time, using sight and movement to separate enemies without dragging the whole formation into a trap. Prioritize enemy Scorpions and Mangonels; use available Knights to remove them quickly before they can fire into the narrow route. Search side areas for abandoned carts and Varangian Barracks, collecting upgrades and reinforcements as you go. When the Monastery becomes available, return wounded units for healing and use its training option for fallen heroes only when the gold cost supports the next objective.
Risks and adaptation
A lure can backfire if several units follow the same bait. Keep ranged troops and siege away from the front of narrow streets, and avoid spending the finite gold before you know whether a fallen hero is essential. Do not confuse this fixed-army mission with a standard base-building battle.
