War Chariot mode-switching plan

War Chariot: War Chariots can shift between modes that provide different kinds of ranged pressure, letting the army respond to a changing target without replacing the whole unit line. Their speed helps them avoid many slow melee threats.

Overview

War Chariot: War Chariots can shift between modes that provide different kinds of ranged pressure, letting the army respond to a changing target without replacing the whole unit line. Their speed helps them avoid many slow melee threats.

Plan and execution

Scout the opposing army, then choose the mode that fits the current engagement: pressure clustered units from range or use the alternate fire pattern against a suitable formation. Keep the Chariots moving behind a screen and switch modes when the enemy changes its formation.

Risks and adaptation

Eagle Warriors and Champi Warriors can threaten the unit through speed and bonus damage. Do not rely on movement alone to escape counters, and avoid committing a costly group to a narrow path with no retreat.
