Overview

Xolotl Warrior: Xolotl Warriors give a Mesoamerican player access to a mounted assault role when an enemy Stable can be converted. Their speed and durability can complement ranged units and siege in a focused flank.

Plan and execution

Secure and convert a suitable Stable, then use the new cavalry to protect a ranged push or attack an exposed side. Keep the group together and take engagements where movement and flanking matter more than a prolonged melee.

Risks and adaptation

The line still suffers from familiar cavalry counters such as Spearmen, Camels, and Monks. A captured Stable is not guaranteed, so do not build the entire army plan around acquiring Xolotl Warriors.
