Charging Ceremony

Charging Ceremony is a Fortress Age option for the Lakota Community Plaza. It increases siege attack for all units, supporting a coordinated attack on buildings rather than adding a new unit to the army.

Effect & access

The ceremony’s effect is army-wide, so the units that can reach a structure may contribute more siege damage while it is active. It does not improve unit hit points or protect troops from defensive fire. The Community Plaza’s assigned Villagers and the ceremony’s active period are part of the investment.

When to perform it

Use it when a building assault or fortification is the next objective and the army can engage safely. Gather the force before beginning the push, then protect units as they approach the target. If the army needs replacements or defense rather than siege, a unit-producing ceremony can serve the immediate need better.

Siege increase scales with Plaza workers

Charging Ceremony increases the siege attack of all Lakota units, including artillery received through TEAM shipments. With 25 Villagers assigned to the Community Plaza, the bonus reaches 50%; replacing ten of those Villagers with Healers raises it to 59%. The bonus multiplies the total siege damage dealt, so it matters most when several units attack a building together. The ceremony was called Fire Dance before Definitive Edition. Gather the force and choose a building objective before assigning workers, since the Plaza workforce is temporarily unavailable for gathering.
