Chilche

Chilche is a campaign hero from the original game who appears in scripted story sequences. He is Heavy Infantry with slow movement and a special incapacitation rule: when his hit points reach zero, he becomes immobile rather than dying normally, then regenerates health. The usual hero recovery through a Town Center does not revive him, so the mission’s scripted rules determine when he can return. His survival can be tied directly to the scenario’s story or objective.

Role, availability & values

Keep Chilche close to the force that can protect him and avoid allowing enemies to surround him. If he is reduced to zero hit points, treat the immobile period as a temporary mission state rather than trying ordinary hero revival. Clear nearby threats and let the scenario’s regeneration rule take effect before moving him again.

Training & availability

Original campaign and scripted scenes; Heavy Infantry; slow movement; at zero hit points becomes immobile and regenerates; cannot be recovered through the usual Town Center hero-revival process.

Matchup & timing

Protect him whenever the active objective or mission progression depends on Chilche. His slow speed makes isolated movement risky, and his unusual incapacitation behavior means standard Explorer or hero procedures do not apply. Consult the specific mission objective because his appearances and role are scenario-bound.

Mission character profile

Chilche’s scenario profile lists 170 hit points, 3.0 speed and 24 line of sight. The slow movement makes it harder for him to keep up with a force that changes position quickly, so escort him rather than sending him ahead. His zero-hit-point behavior is exceptional: he becomes immobile and regenerates, but cannot be revived by the ordinary friendly-unit or Town Center method. The mission’s scripted state determines whether and when he returns to play.
