Commandery Wagon
The Maltese Commandery Wagon is a mobile construction unit in Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition — Knights of the Mediterranean. It establishes a Commandery without its normal resource cost and constructs it three times as fast as ordinary construction.

Role & recorded profile
The wagon has 500 hit points, 5.0 speed and 18 line of sight. It must reach a legal site and complete construction before the Commandery’s production and support functions become available. A threefold build rate means the construction takes roughly one-third of the time it would otherwise require under comparable conditions; it does not make the wagon a combat unit.

How the wagon works
Choose a site where the Commandery’s roster and support can reach the intended army or protect an important route. Escort the wagon through contested ground, then defend the completed structure if forward production matters. The free, faster build has the most value when the location can contribute quickly and survive after the wagon leaves.
Place it for the building that follows
The wagon’s strategic job ends when the Commandery is established, so route and site selection matter more than its combat stats. A forward location can shorten reinforcement travel, while a safer rear position can protect a valuable production point. The three-times construction rate reduces the exposed setup window, but opponents can still target the wagon before completion. Bring an escort when the approach crosses contested territory.
