Consulate Rickshaw

Role, availability & values

It has 250 hit points and moves at 4.0 speed. The rickshaw must travel to a legal site and complete the Consulate; it does not supply the ally’s units by itself. Once built, the Consulate’s options remain governed by Chinese Export and alliance rules.

Matchup & timing

Choose a site that can be defended and that places the Consulate within reach of useful reinforcements. Protect the slow-moving wagon during travel, then select an ally whose units or technologies answer a current need. Do not expose the building if the army cannot protect its diplomatic investment.

A mobile diplomatic investment

At 250 hit points and 4.0 movement speed, the Rickshaw should travel under protection if opponents can reach its route. Its free Consulate placement is useful only after construction completes: the player must still select and fund an ally’s options under the Chinese Export system. A forward site shortens reinforcement travel but is also easier to attack.

Construction first, diplomacy afterward

The Rickshaw has 250 hit points, moves at 4.0 speed and builds a Consulate for free. It must reach a legal location and finish construction before Chinese alliance options are available there. Afterward, the Consulate still uses the Chinese Export system: the player selects an ally and spends Export on its units or technologies. The Rickshaw's free building does not provide those options at no cost.

Choose between reach and safety

A forward Consulate can shorten the route for allied reinforcements and put diplomatic access near a contested front, but it is easier for the opponent to attack. A safer rear placement protects the investment but may take longer to support an army. Scout the route, escort the wagon and choose the site according to whether immediate reinforcement or long-term security matters more. Preserve Export for the alliance options that answer the current matchup.
