Flag Bearer
The Flag Bearer is a noncombat Scenario Editor unit that may appear as a starting scout on the Unknown map. Although its class tags resemble infantry, it has no attack and cannot be targeted in that map setup.

Role, availability & values
The editor unit moves quickly and has commands to create or disband an army from selected units. Its behavior is special to the map or editor configuration rather than a trainable combat role.
Matchup & timing
Use it to reveal nearby terrain or group units when a random Unknown start provides one. Do not count it toward a fighting force or leave it exposed as if it could defend itself.
Special Scenario Editor control unit
The Flag Bearer appears in an Unknown-map setup and has no attack or targetable combat role. Its commands can create or disband an army from selected units. Do not treat its infantry-like tags or movement as a normal unit profile; behavior is specific to the editor configuration.
How the Unknown-map version differs from a combat unit
The Unknown-map Flag Bearer is an unusual Scenario Editor object, not a recruitable soldier. It is assigned Heavy Infantry, Ranged Infantry and Gunpowder Trooper tags, yet has a zero attack and cannot be targeted or killed in this special starting configuration. Its 130 hit points therefore do not describe a normal survivability matchup. At 8.0 speed and 20 line of sight it can scout rapidly, and the map’s version of the unit can collide with enemy territory without behaving like a conventional raider. Its army controls let the player form an army from selected units or disband that group. A separate Unknown-map Drummer can also appear: that unit can be targeted, moves at 4.5, and has a Rally Army ability that grants nearby friendly military units 10% speed for 17 seconds, on a 60-second cooldown. Do not confuse it with the later House of Hanover Drummer.
