Lazerbear
Lazerbear is a cheat unit in Age of Empires III, summoned with the code “o canada 2005” or placed through the Scenario Editor. The tricorne-wearing bear fires eye lasers and has a deliberately extreme combat profile. Its roles resemble several ordinary unit types at once—hand combat, long-range shooting and siege damage—but its access and values belong to cheat-enabled matches and custom scenarios, not the normal civilization economy.

Cheat access & combat profile
The recorded profile lists 106,106 hit points, 90% hand resistance, speed 7.5 and line of sight 24. Its ranged eye-laser attack deals 800 damage at range 4–16 every three seconds. At close range it has a 400-damage hand attack at 1.75 range every two seconds; its siege attack deals 500 damage at range 12 every second. The game data also displays Food and Coin fields, but the unit is summoned by code or placed in the editor, so those values are not a standard recruitment price.
Training & availability
Cheat-enabled game: enter “o canada 2005”; alternatively place the unit in the Scenario Editor. It has no ordinary civilization production route.
Using the special unit
Use Lazerbear only when cheats are enabled or a scenario deliberately includes it. The 24 line of sight and ranged attack can dominate open engagements, while the separate close and siege attacks let it threaten units and structures. In a designed scenario, decide which targets it should be allowed to reach and whether its exceptional health is intended to make it a persistent objective. Ordinary unit-counter advice and resource budgeting do not describe this profile.
Practical direction
When documenting or testing a Lazerbear encounter, distinguish its three attack modes: ranged fire for targets four to sixteen range away, hand damage at close range and a rapid siege attack against structures. Its very high hit points and 90% hand resistance mean ordinary exchanges are a poor measure of how long it will survive. The summon code is the practical access method in a cheat-enabled game; Scenario Editor placement is the controlled option for custom layouts.
The ranged weapon defines its battlefield reach
The eye-laser attack is the main reason the unit can influence a broad area: it reaches from range 4 to 16 and deals 800 damage on a three-second interval. Keep the range band in mind when staging a custom scenario, since a target that approaches from outside it may still enter the attack zone before reaching ordinary firing distance. The 24 line of sight is unusually broad, but it does not turn Lazerbear into a normal reconnaissance unit.
Separate unit combat from building damage
Lazerbear has a distinct siege profile of 500 damage at range 12 with a one-second interval, in addition to its ranged and hand attacks. That distinction matters when scripting objectives: a structure threatened by the siege mode may fall much faster than its ordinary defensive profile suggests. Treat the food, coin and experience fields as database values for a cheat object rather than a build order or a regular unit investment.
