Oktoberfest
Oktoberfest is a Commerce Age technology in Knights of the Mediterranean available through a Trading Post or Inca Tambo on a House of Wittelsbach palace. It refunds 1% of the resource cost of units trained so far, up to 2,500 of each resource.

Effect & research conditions
The research takes 10 seconds and costs 100 Food, 100 Wood and 100 Coin. Its payout is calculated from units the player has already trained, including spending in Export and Influence, and is capped independently at 2,500 of each resource. It is therefore a retrospective refund, not a discount on units trained afterward. The site must be on a House of Wittelsbach palace; a Trading Post on another settlement does not provide the listed access.
Research condition
Available from the Exploration Age. Research it at Trading Post or Tambo (Inca only).
When to research
Research after enough eligible unit spending has accumulated for the 1% refund to exceed the three-resource cost, while leaving time to use the refunded resources. Earlier research can be worthwhile only if substantial prior training has already occurred. Check the stockpile effect and the per-resource cap before choosing this over immediate military production.
The refund looks backward
Oktoberfest returns a small portion of the unit costs already paid before the technology was researched. It includes unit spending in Export and Influence, and the maximum refund is 2,500 of each resource. Units trained after the research do not turn it into a permanent lower price. The value depends on how much eligible army production has already happened.
Time the research against army spending
The 100 Food, Wood and Coin purchase and 10-second research delay should be compared with the expected refund. If the player has trained few units, the immediate return may not repay the cost. If the army has already consumed large amounts of several resources, research can restore part of those costs for a later reinforcement. The House of Wittelsbach site is a separate requirement from the cost calculation.
