Orchard Rickshaw
Orchard Rickshaw is a Japanese mobile construction unit that builds a Cherry Orchard for free at its destination. It turns a special delivery into a renewable Food position rather than an immediate military force.

Role, availability & values
The rickshaw has 250 hit points and moves at 4.0 speed. It must reach a legal site and complete the Orchard before its economy can be used. The wagon is vulnerable while travelling, and the value of the finished structure depends on its placement and the safety of the workers who use it.
Matchup & timing
Send it to a location where the Japanese economy can gather safely and the orchard supports the next production plan. Scout the route first and protect the rickshaw until construction is complete. Avoid placing the Food source where an opponent can raid it without response.
Starting placement and Great Buddha access
The Japanese begin standard random-map games with one Orchard Rickshaw, or two if no Berry Bushes are placed near the starting Town Center. The wagon has 250 hit points, moves at 4.0 speed and builds a Cherry Orchard for free at three times the ordinary rate. In Definitive Edition it can also arrive when the Great Buddha Wonder is used to advance to any Age, as well as through Home City shipments. The Orchard is a renewable Food site, so placing the free wagon close to workers reduces travel and can secure the opening after nearby natural food is depleted. Its starting number depends on the map’s Berry Bush placement, not a player choice. Protect the Rickshaw until it transforms and then defend the workers; its 9 line of sight and 20% siege resistance do not make it a combat unit.
Why the starting count can change
The number of Japanese starting Orchard Rickshaws depends on nearby Berry Bushes: one is standard, but the game provides two if the starting Town Center has no nearby bushes. This adjustment gives the Japanese a food source even when the random-map layout lacks the usual opening resource. The Great Buddha also supplies access to an Orchard Rickshaw on an Age advance in Definitive Edition. Both rules are specific to their game modes and version; they should not be assumed for an original Asian Dynasties match.
